'Milan-San Remo', Monuments Cycling Print
This cycling print was inspired by the Spring Classic, Milan–San Remo (Milano-Sanremo) also referred to as "La Primavera" (Spring) the first of professional cycling's five major one-day classics, or 'Monuments'.
The event has been held since 1907, with the most successful rider being yes, you guessed it, Belgian Eddy Merckx with a total of seven victories.
This event is largely favoured by sprinters due to its relatively benign gradients but, at 298km, Milan–San Remo also requires high levels of endurance and composure; as riders patiently sit in the bunch, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Will there be fireworks on the Cipressa this time, or perhaps the Poggio?
The design, featuring the ediface of Milan cathedral, reflects not only the starting point of the race, but also that of the imposing nature of the Ligurian coastline on route to the finish.
We offer a choice of two print sizes, which you can select from the drop down menu:
30 x 40 cm (12 x 16 inches approx)
A2: (42 x 59.4 cm / 16.5 x 23.4 inches approx)
This cycling print is produced with Canon 'Lucia' pigment inks onto archival quality, acid-free paper, creating a beautiful art print.
Your print will be hand-finished, carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and packed in a sturdy cardboard tube to ensure that it reaches you in tip-top condition.
